Saturday - Someone stole a 25-gallon, 4-hp Sears air compressor from the sidewalk in front of Dick Frey's New & Used Furniture at 305 Center Ave.5:52 p.m. Friday - Vehicles driven by Leslie Huey, 45, of 125 Blackshire Road, Mark Lavorini, 33, of 239 E. Patterson Ave. and David Sorosky, 45, of 819 Water St. collided on Main Street.11:04 a.m. Friday - Vehicles driven by Sherri Selfridge, 38, of 219 Chateau Lane and Michael Micaletti, 28, of New Castle collided on Hansen Avenue.12:43 a.m. Friday - Renee Simons, 38, of 219½ W. Jefferson St. was charged with fraud bad checks after she wrote two bad checks totaling $77.79 at the Honey Bear at 520 E. Jefferson St.Friday - Vehicles driven by Donna Kudamik, 71, of Renfrew and Nicole Leight, 32, of 439 Brown Ave. collided at the intersection of North Washington and West Jefferson streets.11:35 a.m. Thursday - Vehicles driven by Virginia Carroll, 81, of 156 Merritt Drive and James Weifenbaugh Jr., 56, of Renfrew collided on West Pearl Street.Thursday - Michelle Taylor, 37, of 308 Ziegler Ave. was charged with theft/failure to make required disposition of funds received.Taylor was charged with the third-degree felony after parents of the East Side Mustangs Midget Football team told police that their children sold candles for a fund-raising event but never received them.An investigation revealed that Taylor had collected the money but never submitted the order. Police also found that Taylor spent some of the money she collected on herself.Charges were filed through District Justice Pete Shaffer's office.1:40 p.m. Tuesday - Vehicles driven by Richard Wanlin, 74, of 4 Sunbury Estates and Francis Wiseley, 48, of 622 Center Ave. collided on Race Street.
10:31 p.m. Sunday - William Jewell, 25, of Greenville was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension and additional traffic violations after he lost control of his vehicle on the Lyndora exit of Route 8 and struck a gravel pile owned by the state Department of Transportation. Jewell and four passengers in his car were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries and released.
2:40 a.m. Sunday - Michael Jennings, 22, of Slippery Rock told police that someone assaulted him in the parking lot at 227 Cooper St. as he walked home. Jennings' left eye was injured, but he refused treatment at the scene.5:28 p.m. Saturday - A vehicle driven by Kathryn McNulty, 20, of Fairfax Station, Va., struck a deer on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.5:15 p.m. Saturday - David Starr, no age given, of Renfrew was charged with simple assault and harassment after he assaulted Cindy Starr at their Reibold Road residence in Forward Township. The defendant was arraigned by District Justice Joseph O'Donnell and released on his own recognizance. Bail was set at $1,000 and a preliminary hearing was set for Wednesday.4:10 p.m. Saturday - Nancy Haney, 48, of Bethel Park lost control of her vehicle during a whiteout on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township and struck a guardrail.2:50 p.m. Saturday - Vehicles driven by Nadesha Hubbell, no age given, and Robert Hempfling, no age given, both of Butler, collided in the parking lot at Clearview Mall in Center Township. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and neither one was injured.2:03 a.m. Saturday - Vaughn Brothers, 36, of Chicora was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 422 in Butler Township.12:24 a.m. Saturday - Jamie Dick, 24, of Prospect was arrested for driving under the influence after her vehicle slid off of Route 68 in Connoquenessing Township.12:35 p.m. Friday - Vehicles driven by Karen Hartman, 50, of Prospect and Minnetta Bowman, 46, of Butler collided on Route 488 in Muddy Creek Township. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and were treated for minor injuries.1:49 a.m. Friday - Vehicles driven by Carlie Warner, 17, of Grove City and Michael Cabotar, 37, of New Castle collided on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.10:15 a.m. Thursday - A car driven by Joseph Urish, 56, of Butler hit a deer on Route 68 in Oakland Township. Urish got glass in his eye.7:30 a.m. Thursday - Vehicles driven by Patrick Hilliard, no age given, of Cowansville and Conrad Geibel, no age given, of Butler collided on Dick Road in Connoquenessing Township.4:43 p.m. Wednesday - James Basham, 47, of Butler suffered minor injuries when he pulled his snowmobile in front of a car driven by Leigh Thompson, 20, of Butler, who was traveling north on Route 8 in Center Township.10:45 a.m. Wednesday - Jacob Klutinoty, no age given, of 1060 Whitestown Road lost control of his vehicle on Whitestown Road in Connoquenessing Township and struck an embankment. He was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.4:46 p.m. Dec. 6 - Vehicles driven by Kurt Fletcher, 23, of Prospect, Cassandra Smead, 17, of Butler and David Sims, 24, of Evans City collided on Route 68 in Forward Township.12:50 a.m. Dec. 1 - Stephen Callen, 22, of Harrisville was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after his vehicle became stuck on a muddy Black Road in Marion Township.12:55 a.m. Nov. 30 - Joan Kemple, 48, of Butler was charged with reckless endangerment of another person for pointing a loaded semi-automatic handgun at Gene Fend, 19, and Jason Albert, both of Butler, outside her home at 705 Meadow Valley Drive, Center Township.All three have been charged with disorderly conduct.The incident is under investigation and police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident.
