Robert H. Moore

Robert H. Moore, 84, of Scrubgrass Township, Emlenton, died at 4:30 a.m. Friday at home.

Born July 28, 1920, in the family homestead in Scrubgrass Township, Venango County, he was the son of Orris and ClaraBelle Kelly Moore.

He was a lifelong cattle and dairy farmer at the Moore family farm.

He was a lifelong member of the East Unity Presbyterian Church and he had served as a session member for many terms.

Mr. Moore was a member of the Parker City-Allegheny Valley Lodge F.&A.M. 521 and the New Castle Consistory. He was a 1937 graduate of the former Eau Claire Academy.

He is survived by his wife, Alida

Smith Hines Moore; two stepdaughters, Ruth Hines of Reading and Mary Formeck of Slippery Rock; four stepsons, Edwin Hines of Raleigh, N.C., James Hines of Denver, Col., Gary Hines of Saxonburg and Donald Hines of Mt. Chestnut; 17 step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren; and a nephew, David Gibson of Clintonville.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Esther Gibson Moore, who died in 1992; and a sister, Thelma Moore Gibson.

MOORE - Friends of Robert H. Moore, who died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday atH. JACK BUZARD FUNERAL HOME, Main Street, Eau Claire. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at East Unity Presbyterian Church, Cherry Valley. Interment will be in East Unity Church Cemetery. Members of Parker City-Allegheny Valley Lodge F.&A.M. 521 will conduct Masonic memorial services at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
