William and Shirley Dellich celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a gathering of family and friends at the North Washington Fire Hall.

The former Shirley Hoff married Dellich on Nov. 6, 1954, at the office of the Justice of the Peace on Route 38.

They have five children, William Dellich II, Chris McKinney and Sheila Beach, all of West Sunbury; Marilyn Thompson of Eau Claire; and Tricia Beach of Chicora.

They also have 11 grandchildren and a step-grandchild.

Dellich is retired from U.S. Steel. He also owned and operated Dellich Excavating for more than 30 years.

Mrs. Dellich is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
