Ronald S. Bryan

Ronald S. Bryan of North Washington peacefully went to be with his heavenly family at 6:10 a.m. Thursday.

He is survived by his loving wife, Betty, of 59 years. His family includes two daughters, Dolores (Leslie) Hall of North Washington and Elizabeth (Richard) Day of Mars.

He owned and operated a dairy, shipping milk for more than 34 years. After retiring, he enjoyed his five grandchildren and his great-granddaughter, Grace Hazlet, who was born on his 80th birthday. His grandchildren are Jodee (David) Hazlet of Chicora, Nicholas Hersman of Indianola, Aaron Hall of North Washington and Briana and Thomas Day of Mars. He is also survived by a brother, Dale E. Bryan of Hooker, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Ronald was born the son of Robert and Etta Campbell Bryan in Concord Township, on Jan. 1, 1922, and married his best friend on Feb. 14, 1945.

He was a lifelong member of the Concord Presbyterian Church, where he served as elder and trustee. He also served on the Board of Directors of Central Electric and was a veteran of World War II.

He is preceded in death by three sisters, three brothers and two grandchildren.

BRYAN - Friends of Ronald S. Bryan, who died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Concord Presbyterian Church, Hooker, with the Rev. Robert Mathias officiating. Burial will be at Concord Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Concord Presbyterian Church, 625 Hooker Road, West Sunbury, PA 16061.Information also is available at www.youngfuneralhomes.com.
