Kevin Douglas Kurtz
Kevin Douglas Kurtz, 43, of Penn Township died Wednesday at his residence after a long battle with cancer.
He was born in Butler on June 16, 1961, the son of the late George S. Kurtz Jr. and Nadine Garbisch Kurtz, who preceded him in death.
Kevin lived life to its fullest; and his many hobbies included hunting, fishing, golf cooking, and collecting wine.
He was a member of the Butler Country Club, the Duquesne Club, the Pike Run Country Club and the Millvale Sportsmen's Club.
Kevin also was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown.
Kevin was a graduate of Mercersburg Academy and Washington and Lee University.
Kevin was the beloved husband of Janet Nash Kurtz, whom he married Oct. 10, 1987; and an active father to his sons, Chandler Loring Kurtz and Cameron Nash Kurtz. He also is survived by an aunt, Victoria Garbisch Jackson, and a number of dear cousins.
KURTZ - A memorial service for Kevin Douglas Kurtz, who died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004, will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, with the Rev. Dr. David McDonald and Rev. Dr. Richard Morledge officiating. Burial services will be private at North Side Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Lighthouse Foundation Food Bank, 1302 E.
