A Jan. 15 wedding is being planned by Melissa Park and Christopher Shearer, both of Saint Paul, Minn.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Cathy Park of Erie and the late Jack Park. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are James and Rebecca Shearer of Butler.

The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of McDowell High School and a 2003 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, where she received a degree in mechanical engineering technology. She is employed as a technical director in the GE Operations Management Leadership Program at the Canadian Pacific Railroad Shop of General Electric in Saint Paul, Minn.

Her fiancé is a 1998 graduate of Butler High School; a 2002 graduate of Penn State Behrend, where he received a degree in Marketing; and a 2004 graduate of Louisiana State University, where he received his master's degree. He works as a financial analyst at General Mills in Minneapolis.
