BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

The Sacrament of Holy Communion will be observed during the 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday services at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road.

The second trimester of adult Sunday school classes will begin at 9:45 a.m. Sunday.

An Inquirer's Session for those interested in becoming church members will be held after the 11 a.m. service on Sunday.

An offering for youth services will be collected this weekend.

The annual adult Christmas Party will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in Oz Hall.

CHRIST'S OUTREACH

The second week of Advent will be celebrated at the 7 p.m. Saturday and the 8:45 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday services at Christ's Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave.

Patty Helms, Amanda Helms, Phil Hixon and Tom and Linda Walker will present music for the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service.

A missionary night will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday in the sanctuary. Speakers will be Mel and Lois Price.

The Wednesday adult Bible study group will begin a new study following the 5:45 p.m. fellowship dinner this week.

COVENANT PRESBY

The Hanging of the Greens will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St.

William Haller, professor of organ at West Virginia University, will perform at 4 p.m. Sunday for the Advent Recital Series. A reception will follow.

Kang-Yup Na, professor of religion at Westminster College, will lead the Seekers Class, which meets at 9:45 a.m. Sunday in the Assembly Room.

EAST BUTLER PRESBY

A congregational meeting to elect new officers will be held after the Sunday service this week at East Butler Presbyterian Church, at the corner of Ninth Street and Randolph Avenue, East Butler.

New members will be received at the 9:30 a.m. Sunday service.

A holiday dinner for the elderly will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday.

The Sunday school Kid's Night Out Christmas party will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

FAITH U.P.

Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main St. Ext., will hold a Christmas party for the residents of New Haven Court at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Church youth will present a Christmas program during the event.

FIRST BAPTIST

First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., will host a children's Christmas party from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday for Sunday school children age 2 to sixth grade.

The Kingdom Seekers Sunday school class will meet for a Christmas dinner at 5 p.m. Saturday at Hoss's Steak & Sea House, Route 8, Allison Park.

The Women's Missionary Fellowship will meet at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday. Erma Desmond will be the speaker at both sessions. Projects include packing Christmas gifts for missionaries.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

Time and talent sheets are to be returned during the offering at Sunday services at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St.

FIRST U.M.

An Advent practice will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday in the sanctuary at First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North St.

GLADE RUN U.P.

The youth of Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, will participate in a progressive dinner from 3:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Glade Run Christmas ornaments are available at the church office. Cost is $5.

Small group leaders will be meeting for three weeks at 7 p.m. Sundays.

HILL U.P.

The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper will be celebrated at the 6 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m. Sunday services at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St. The instrumental ensemble will also perform at both services.

Students in grades 7 to 12 will meet at 9:15 a.m. Sunday to plan for the visit to New Haven Court on Dec. 19. Adult volunteers are needed to provide transportation.

Practice for the children's Christmas musical will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, 11:45 a.m. Sunday and 6:15 p.m. Wednesday.

NEW LIFE CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES

The annual meeting of the board of elders of New Life Christian Ministries, Knoch School Auditorium, 345 Knoch Road, Saxonburg, will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at The Bridge, 102 Bay St., Penn Township. Dinner and fellowship time will be at 6:15 p.m.

NORTH BUTLER PRESBY

NORTH MAIN STREET CHURCH OF GOD

The Living Christmas Tree Choir of North Main Street Church of God, 1201 N. Main St. Ext., will hold a full rehearsal from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday and from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Noah's Park activities have been cancelled Wednesday due to the Living Christmas Tree rehearsal.

OLD UNION PRESBY

The Christmas card exchange at Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, will begin Sunday and continue until Dec. 15. Put cards in alphabetical order, tie them in a bundle and put them in the box at the back of the church.

"Elf" will be the movie for Movie Night at 7 p.m. Saturday.

A birthday party for Jesus will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 East Jefferson St. The event will include music, games, crafts and a light dinner.

ST. MARK'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN

Holy Communion will be celebrated Sunday at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St.

Blood pressure screening will be available at the Birch Street entrance before the Saturday service. They will be available downstairs from 9:30 to 9:45 a.m. Sunday.

ST. PETER'S EPISCOPAL

WEST SUNBURY U.P.

The Sacrament of Communion will be celebrated at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service at West Sunbury United Presbyterian Church, 215 East Church St., West Sunbury. The Moniteau Area Youth Group will lead the service. A soup luncheon will follow the service to benefit youth programming.
