Monday - Dwight Willis, 37, of 103 Graham Road, Butler, was charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing two cartons of cigarettes at the A-Plus store on East Jefferson Street. Willis about 9 a.m. Thursday snatched the cigarettes, valued at $105, from a clerk before running out the store and driving away.Monday - Ryan Eddy, 37, of 400 W. Brady St., Apt. 2 was charged in connection with an April 16 hit-and-run crash at Hansen Avenue and Pillow Street.Police said Eddy was identified as the driver of a car that struck the rear of another car, driven by Chad Williams, 19, of Karns City, before driving away. Eddy is charged with accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle and careless driving.

3:35 p.m. Saturday - Shad Bailey, 24, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended license, reckless driving, speeding, public drunkenness and possession of a small amount of marijuana as well as drug paraphernalia.Bailey was spotted driving erratically on Whitestown Road just prior to his collision into the rear of a vehicle driven by Douglas Morin, 61, of Butler.8:40 a.m. Saturday - William Mellish, 22, of East Butler was charged with retail theft after being caught by Wal-Mart store security with merchandise he did not buy.Nov. 23 - Edward Fink, 18, of Butler attempted to cash in a lottery ticket at Good Guyz convenience store that already had been paid out to the winning holder at a different store. Fink will be charged with theft by deception.
