Glenn 'Gilf' Bartmas
Glenn George "Gilf" Bartmas, 46, of 125 Alpine Lane, Center Township, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday at his home.
Born in Butler, Jan. 27, 1958, he was the son of Glenn O. and Winona Stamm Bartmas.
He was a member of Local 2274 of the Carpenters Union and worked as a heavy carpenter in the Western Pennsylvania area building locks, dams and bridges. He was an Army veteran and served in the infantry at Fort Knox, Ky., and Stuttgart, Germany. He obtained the rank of specialist 5th class.
Mr. Bartmas enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading and nature.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon Bartmas, whom he married in October 1980; four children, Luke, Seth, Glenn "Scooter" and Shirley Bartmas, all of Butler; his parents of Butler; five siblings, Tim and Doug Bartmas, Gloria Pink, Teresa LeChien and Dianna Stewart, all of Butler; his grandmother, Irene Stamm of Center Township; six nieces; and eight nephews.
BARTMAS - Friends of Glenn George "Gilf" Bartmas, who died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E.
