Linda Gail "Ma" Furniss, 57, of New Kensington died Saturday at her home.

Born Dec. 23, 1946, in Squirrel Hill, she was the daughter of the late Robert Andrew and Edna Linsenbigler.

She was a 1964 graduate of New Kensington High School and a longtime New Kensington resident.

Mrs. Furniss was a member of the American Legion, the VFW ladies auxiliaries of Lower Burrell and the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary in New Kensington. She enjoyed bowling, playing pool and darts.

Surviving are her husband, Earle Helm "Duke" Furniss; a son, Nikolas "Nic" (Nadine Sholes Wise) Gaillot of Butler; a daughter, Dana (Sam) Gaillot-Himes of Newport News, Va.; three granddaughters, Alyson, Emily and Erika Wise; and friends Mike "Cottonmouth" LaRussa and Suzanne "Babygirl" Ban, both of New Kensington. She also was an adopted mother and grandmother to many.
