If a bowler is bowling on lane three, sticks on the approach and steps beyond the foul line on lane four, is that considered a foul? Answer at the end of the column.

Bowlers are constantly telling themselves to hit their target. While it is important to target something out on the lane, it is very difficult to roll a ball over the same arrow or dot.As a matter of fact, it could cause you to aim the ball instead of just letting it fly. If you aim at a target, you muscles tend to tense and cause you to pull the ball or throw it harder. When you get up onto the lane, look at what you want to hit, but don't put too much thought into actually hitting it. Thought gets in the way of motion. The fewer thoughts, the clearer the picture. So do your best to avoid aiming at your target. Just look at it and let your body do the rest.
