City revitalization team moves to advisory role
The Butler Downtown Revitalization Committee is now an official advisory board to city council.
Council unanimously approved the request from the committee at Wednesday's meeting, which will help the committee move forward on applying for grants and working with other city and county organizations that are working on the city's revitalization efforts.
The advisory board will have 14 members. Members who are in place now and their terms in office are as follows:
Four-year terms - Vincent Tavolario, Cynthia Azari, Donald Rasely.
Three-year terms - William Darney, Robert Wanke and Stan Kosciuszko
Two-year terms - Robert Moore, William Morgan, Vernon Wise Jr. and Ann Morrison
One-year term - Lisa Guard, Alva Hill, James Taylor and one open seat
This committee of volunteers has been working on revitalization plans specific to downtown Butler for more than a year.
