Leon and Norma Thompson of Slippery Rock will celebrate 50 years of marriage with a family dinner.

The former Norma Glenn married Thompson on Nov. 26, 1954, at the home of the bride's parents in Harrisville.

They have three children, Karen Otteson of Watertown, Mass.; Rennae Allison of Harrisville and Gay Carson of Grove City. They also have five grandchildren.

Thompson is the vice president of Container Automation Technology in Grove City.

Mrs. Thompson is a bookkeeper at Container Automation Technology.

The couple belongs to Highland Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock.
