Wilbert Mowry of Butler celebrated his 90th birthday recently with a family picnic.

Mowry was born Sept. 13, 1914, in Dravosburg. He married Louise Dietrich on Nov. 11, 1942.

He has four children, Wilbert Mowry Jr. and Carl Mowry, both of Butler; Robert Mowry of Truth or Consequences, N.M.; and Barry Mowry of Oklahoma City.

He also has eight grandchildren and five great-grandsons.

Mowry retired from Winters and Fleming at age 75. He also worked as a regional manager for Ferguson Tractor, a district maintenance superintendent for PennDOT and a Penn Township supervisor for 35 years.

A lifelong farmer, he has been a member of Middlesex Presbyterian Church for 80 years.
