SAXONBURG - District Justice Sue Haggerty recently ruled on these cases:
Carol Czwalga, 67, of Cheswick, Allegheny County, pleaded guilty to charges of bad checks filed July 19 in three private complaints. She was ordered to pay $2,867 in fines, court costs and restitution.
Suzanne Czwalga, 39, of Springdale, Allegheny County, waived to court three counts of bad checks. The charges stem from two cases filed Aug. 11 by Saxonburg police and a case filed Oct. 13 by Middlesex Township police.
Rose Fiser, 61, of 109 Shady Creek Lane, Renfrew, pleaded guilty to charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, filed Aug. 23 by Middlesex Township police. She was ordered to pay $572.25 in fines and court costs.
Michael Keegan, 28, of Gibsonia, Allegheny County, waived to court charges of driving under the influence, filed Sept. 27 by Middlesex Township police.
Andrew Rudosky, 26, of Ford City, Armstrong County, waived to court charges of driving under the influence in Buffalo Township, filed June 6 by state police.
John Sobkiewicz, 47, of 101 Oak Leaf Drive, Saxonburg, was held for court on charges of simple assault and harassment in Jefferson Township, filed Sept. 26 by state police.
EVANS CITY - District Justice Wayne Seibel recently heard these cases:Robert C. Moschell, 45, of Ellwood City, Lawrence County, waived his case to court. He was charged Nov. 3 by the Jackson Township police with driving under the influence of alcohol general impairment, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol content of more than 0.16 percent, resisting arrest, six counts of disorderly conduct, driving with a suspended license, reckless driving and driving without a license.Andrea Jo Weider, 24, of Evans City waived her case to court. She was charged Oct. 6 by the state police with driving under the influence of alcohol general impairment, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol content between 0.10 percent and 0.16 percent, disregard of traffic lane and careless driving.Richard Lee Weaver, 20, of Zelienople waived his case to court. He was charged Oct. 14 by Jackson Township police with driving under the influence of alcohol by a minor, driving under the influence of alcohol general impairment, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, purchasing alcohol by a minor, failure to keep right and driving with no rear lights.
CRANBERRY TWP --- District Justice Kelley Streib recently heard these cases:Cynthia A. Fotta, 41, of Slippery Rock waived her case to court. She was charged Dec. 23, 2003, by the Jackson Township police with retail theft.Kevin M. Morrison, 34, of Ambridge, Beaver County, waived his case to court. He was charged Nov. 5 by Cranberry Township police with three counts of theft by unlawful taking and three counts of receiving stolen property.Eric E. Owings, 30, of Cranberry Township waived his case to court. He was charged Nov. 3 by Cranberry Township police with simple assault and harassment.Jason Michael Behun, 21, of Beaver Falls, Beaver County, waived his case to court. He was charged Oct. 6 by Cranberry Township police with three counts of manufacturing, delivery and/or possession with intent to deliver and three counts of possession of a controlled substance.Brian Savko, 38, of Lower Burrell, Allegheny County, waived his case to court. He was charged Sept. 8 by Cranberry Township police with theft by deception, receiving stolen property, writing bad checks and six counts of forgery.Renee Burnworth, 25, of Harmony, waived her case to court. She was charged April 5 by Cranberry Township police with two counts of theft by deception, two counts of receiving stolen property and two counts of writing bad checks.William Niles Miller, 46, of Duquesne, Allegheny County, pleaded guilty to theft by unlawful taking for which he received a $25 fine plus $133 in court costs and owed $795.68 in restitution. He had been charged Sept. 16 by Cranberry Township police with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and filing a false report. The two remaining charges were dismissed.Brandon Ryan Graham, 22, of Beaver Falls, Beaver County, waived his case to court. He was charged Oct. 6 by Cranberry Township police with three counts of criminal conspiracy, three counts of possession of a controlled substance and six counts of manufacturing, delivery and/or possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
WORTH TWP, Mercer County - The following cases were heard Nov. 10 by District Justice Lawrence Silvis:Ryan M. Donnelly, 23, of Pittsburgh, was held for court on one count of possessing marijuana for personal use and one count of use or possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested on Sept. 1 for speeding while driving west on Route 80. Police found a small amount of marijuana and a smoke-pipe in his car. He was released on $1,000 bond under the condition that he not drink any alcohol or use illegal drugs, and not be present where alcohol is served.John D. Miller, 46, of Grove City, was sent to counseling after a July 13 arrest for physically assaulting his 17-year-old son, who suffered a ruptured intestine. Miller had been charged with one count of aggravated assault, one count of simple assault and one count of harassment, which was moved to a non-traffic citation. He was released on a $3,000 bond and a fine of $124.50.
SLIPPERY ROCK - These cases were heard Nov. 16 by District Justice Clifford Woessner:Jason Harold Thomas, 19, of Keister Road waived his case to court. He is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Thomas is free on $10,000 bond. His arraignment is Dec. 27 in Butler County Court.Thomas shared the house with Kristin Lizanne McCouch, 19, whowaived her case to court. She is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. McCouch is free on $10,000 bond. Her arraignment is Dec. 27 in Butler County Court.Timothy S. Haynes, 38, of New Castle waived his case to court. He was charged with driving under the influence, a lane violation and failure to wear a seat belt. He is free on $1,500 bond. A DUI court hearing is set for Jan. 11 in Butler County Court.Michael James Powers, 28, of Slippery Rock waived his case to court. He is charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, speeding, lane, stop sign and signal violations. Powers is free on personal recognizance. A DUI court hearing is set for Jan. 11 in Butler County Court.Marjorie Ann Rogner, 56, of Butler waived her case to court. She is charged with driving under the influence, a lane violation and careless driving. Rogner is free on personal recognizance. A DUI court hearing is set for Jan. 11.State Liquor Control officers charged several Slippery Rock University students in connection with alcohol violations on Nov. 6, 2003, at the Sigma Tau fraternity house on West Cooper Street.David A. Pavone, 20, of Alexandria, Va., waived his case to court. He is charged with selling or furnishing alcoholic beverages to minors and purchasing alcohol by a minor. Pavone is free on personal recognizance. His arraignment is Dec. 27 in Butler County Court.Jarrett Lyn Wallace, 21, of Birdsboro waived his case to court. He is charged with selling or furnishing alcoholic beverages to minors. Wallace is free on personal recognizance. His arraignment is Dec. 27 in Butler County Court.Kenneth R. Khalouf, 22, of North Huntingdon waived his case to court. He is charged with selling or furnishing alcoholic beverages to minors. Khalouf is free on personal recognizance.
