Vera Kerr Forgie, 90, of Butler died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Sunnyview Home.

Born Oct. 11, 1913, in Butler, she was the daughter of Warren E. Kerr and Elsie M. Hilliard Kerr.

She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church. She belonged to the VA Retirees. She was a retired nurse from the Butler VA Medical Center, where she worked for 26 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jeffrey (Sandra J.) Upchurch of Demotte, Ind.; a number of cousins; and a special friend, Carl Litzenberg of Butler.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren and a sister.

FORGIE - Friends of Vera Kerr Forgie, who died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, Butler. The service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Timothy Bupp of Grace Lutheran Church, assisted by the Rev. Cloyd Osborne, will officiate.
