Peggy J. Middleton
Peggy J. Middleton, 80, of Orlando, Fla., died Sunday at Florida South Hospital.
Born June 26, 1924, in Newark, N.J., she was the daughter of Frank and Margaret Flanagan Middleton.
Miss Middleton was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Orlando and retired as the secretary of St. James Cathedral Parish and The Cloisters of Orlando.
She is survived by a sister, Sister Agnes Celeste of Flourtown, Montgomery County; a sister-in-law, Mary Hitchcock Middleton of The Woodlands, Texas; nephews, Ed Middleton of The Woodlands, Jack Middleton of Amhurst, Mass., Frank Middleton of Trenton, N.J., Robbie Middleton of Kenilworth, N.J., Mike Rafferty of Long Branch, N.J., Steve Rafferty of Bradley Beach, N.J., Bill Rafferty of Fair Haven, N.J., Mark Rafferty of Raleigh, N.C., and Mark Darnold of Paden City, W.Va.; and nieces, Peggy Rafferty Hollsi of Virginia, Barbara Darnold Miller of New Martinsville, W.Va., and Joanne Darnold (Fred) Webb of Slippery Rock. Many grandnieces and grandnephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ed Middleton of The Woodlands, Frank (Blanche) Middleton of Kenilworth and Paul Middleton of Newark. and sisters, Helen Middleton (Gene) Rafferty of Long Branch and Claire Middleton Darnold of Orlando; and a niece, Mary Elizabeth Middleton of Long Branch.
MIDDLETON - Friends of Peggy Middleton, who died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at RAISLEY FUNERAL HOME, 387 Main St., Prospect. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will followed at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Christopher at the Lake Church Roman Catholic Church, Prospect. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Prospect.A memorial service also was held Thursday at The Cloisters in Orlando.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Villa, 110 W.
