Helen Delaney of Karns City will celebrate her 85th birthday with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicora.

The former Helen Bishop was born Nov. 12, 1919, in Kaylor. She married Lester Delaney on April 12, 1939. He is deceased.

She has two children, Donna Dunmyre of Chicora and Lester Delaney of Karns City. She also has six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
