Raymond and Peggy Brenneman of Portersville celebrated 50 years of marriage with an open house at the Portersville-Muddy Creek Fire Hall.

The former Peggy Michaels married Brenneman on Oct. 23, 1954, at the home of the Rev. Richards in Wurtenburg.

They have four children, John Brenneman, Patti Grandinetti and Wanda Mathias, all of Portersville, and Nancy Brenneman of Slippery Rock.

They also have four grandchildren.

Brenneman is retired. He worked as a plumber and with heating and air conditioning systems. He enjoys hunting, fishing, reading and watching baseball and football.

Mrs. Brenneman is also retired. She is a lifetime member of the Portersville Fire Hall Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoys sewing, crocheting and fishing.

The couple belongs to the Presbyterian Church of Portersville. They enjoy traveling, camping and bluegrass.
