3:14 p.m. Wednesday - Andrea Zellefrow, 18, of Chicora was cited for a traffic violation after she pulled out of the Colonial Motel on New Castle Road in front of a car driven by Donald Fleming, 80, of West Sunbury and failed to yield. Zellefrow and an unnamed passenger in Fleming's care suffered minor injuries.1:30 a.m. Wednesday - Robert Frank Johnston Jr. of Cleveland Street, Butler, was charged with simple assault/domestic violence and public drunkenness after he allegedly assaulted his wife, Jennifer Johnston, 27, also of Cleveland Street. The incident occurred at the Comfort Inn on Route 8 south. He is in the Butler County Prison on a $10,000 bond.
11:40 a.m. Oct. 31 - John Michael Healy, 18, 203 Collingwood Court in Cranberry Township, was charged with driving under the influence, underage drinking and possession of drug paraphernalia after his car left the road and hit a tree.Sept. 29 - Melissa Marie Cammisa, 19, 105 Elm Court, Butler, was arrested after a township police officer recognized her and knew that she was wanted on a warrant for possession of heroin, possession of paraphernalia and filing false reports.While Cammisa was being searched at the Butler County Prison, heroin was found and she now faces the additional charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession drug paraphernalia, and driving under a suspended license. She remains in the prison.Her passenger, Joseph Bratkovich, 28, of 205 E. Christie St., Butler, also was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession drug paraphernalia. He is not at the county prison.
5:30 p.m. Thursday - No one was injured in a three-car accident on Dinnerbell Road that occurred when Carmas Shollo, 17, of Rock Dale Road, attempted to pass a vehicle in a no passing zone.Shollo's actions forced Robert Dreher, 54, address unknown, off the road and into the berm, and caused Shollo's car to run into the back of a car driven by Rhonda Gornick, 32, address unknown. Gornick's passengers, Natasha Gornick, 9; Ty Gornick, 8; and Taylor Crede, 3, were not injured. All involved in the accident were wearing seatbelts.Shollo has been cited for illegal passing and careless driving.3:40 p.m. Thursday - Jeremiah Teramoto, 20, of Beaver Falls was taken to Allegheny General Hospital with severe abdominal and other injuries after he was thrown from his car in an accident on Harmony Road in Slippery Rock Township.The crash occurred when Teramoto's car skidded off the road hitting two stone driveway markers and rolled over. Passenger Shaun Grill, 21, of Franklin, was taken to United Community Hospital in Grove City and then by ambulance to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with head and neck injuries. Their conditions are not known.Neither Teramoto nor Grill was wearing their seatbelts.6:48 p.m. Wednesday - Charles Sholes, 66, of Butler, was not injured when he drove his truck into oncoming traffic on Center Drive, Oakland Township, and ran into a truck driven by Shane Johnston, 19, of Chicora. Johnston was not injured. Sholes has been charged with the accident, careless driving and duty to give information and render aid.2:35 p.m. Wednesday - Paul Gillman, 62, of 116 Deerhurst Lane, Penn Township, accidentally shot himself in his middle and ring finger of his left hand. He was handling a 410-caliber Derringer. He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital and then transferred to Allegheny General Hospital. His condition is not known.2:45 p.m. Oct. 30 - Cyd Johnston of Butler said someone took her ATV which was later found in a wooded area on her property in Center Township.Sept. 29 and 30 - Billie Jo McCune, 27, of Butler was charged with passing two bad checks to Opie's Pizza in Center Township.
July 23 - An unnamed 35-year-old man is under investigation for involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old female in Elk Township this summer. The man also allegedly gave the victim and several other juveniles alcohol and marijuana.
1:15 a.m. Thursday - Stephanie Titus, 30, of Ford City, suffered minor injuries when she hit a deer that ran in front of her van on Route 422 at Ruth Hill Road. Worthington Volunteer Fire and Ambulance departments responded to the accident.2:30 a.m. Wednesday - William Wayne Fouse Jr., 24, of Apollo was arrested and charged with simple assault after he hit his step-mother, Tammy Rouse, 43, at the Fouse home on Elbow Run Road in Kittanning Township. He was arraigned before District Justice J. Gary DeComo and is in the Armstrong County Jail on $5,000 bail.8:30 p.m. Oct. 23 - Someone entered Jennifer Heddinger's home on R.D. 4, Kittanning, but did not take anything. The person left the front door open.
