7:30 a.m. Wednesday - A woman at Stoney Hollow Road in Cabot reported the rear window of her van was smashed as the vehicle sat in her driveway.2:53 p.m. Tuesday - A car driven by Jennifer Chade of Butler drove into the back of a car driven by Jennifer Piccirillo of Cranberry Township, while the two drove on Route 68. The accident occurred when Piccirillo slowed down because of traffic. Both women were wearing their seat belts.7:30 a.m. Tuesday - A 16-year-old has been charged with harassment after grabbing a 15-year-old by the neck while on a school bus at Turk and Weeks roads in Brady Township.10:35 Monday - A car driven by Denise Galmarini of New Castle hit a deer on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. She and a passenger were wearing seat belts.11:36 p.m. Oct. 28 - Philip Benson, 35, of Butler, was stopped on Route 356 at Moraine Pointe Plaza after committing several traffic violations. He also was arrested for driving under the influence.
1:15 a.m. Wednesday - Eric Sherman, 24, of Emlenton is charged with criminal mischief after an incident at South Fifth Street in Clarion Township, during which he is accused of damaging a door jam and latch at the home of Scott Harriger, 23, of Clarion.6:30 a.m. Tuesday - Timothy Wolfe of Sligo reports that someone took a ladder he left at his tree stand off McCall and Means roads in Piney Township. The ladder is worth $150.4 p.m. Friday - Edward Greenawalt of Rimersburg reported his vanity license plate was stolen from the front of his car. The plate is blue with a knife on it and the word, "switchblade."Oct. 26 - Someone took a wood chipper, owned by Aspludh Tree Service of Greensburg, from Milo Welding, Route 38, near the intersection with Route 68 in Summit Township.
5:30 p.m. Tuesday - No one was injured in a two-car accident between exits 14 and 15 on Route 28 in Allegheny County. The accident occurred when Alan Bauman, 24, of Sarver slowed his car for traffic and a car driven by Donna Scholl, 52, of Vandergrift ran into the back of Bauman's car. Scholl then left the scene and was later found. No charges are pending. Both were wearing their seat belts.11 p.m. Oct. 28 - Edward Buffington of Manor Township reported that someone entered his garage and damaged his personal property.
4 p.m., Oct. 27 - Someone took a Compaq laptop computer, model EvoN1020V and serial number 9X35LDLZ80KC, from the Mercer County Career Center's Culinary Arts Department. The computer is worth $1,612.April 22 - Charles Marstellar of Sharpsville has been accused of writing a bad check at the Grove City Wal-Mart for $375.92.
Oct. 28 - Someone reported that a bottle exploded outside Harner Hall. The case is under investigation.Oct. 26 - Anthony Horniacek, 18, of 301 Founders Hall was charged with furnishing alcohol to minors in the dormitory.Oct. 25 - Hoa Nguyen, 20, of 311 Rock Apartments, an SRU student, was charged with possession of marijuana at his apartment. James Abiola, 23, of Philadelphia, also an SRU student, was charged with furnishing liquor to a minor at the apartment.Oct. 23 - Derrick Uniatowski, 18 of Slippery Rock was charged with driving under the influence.
