In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

Many Americans subscribe to this belief and others that stem from Biblical stories.

Many are still grappling, however, to balance those stories with evolution theories upheld by scientists, who believe

the earth is much older than the chronology of the Bible suggests.

In an effort to reconcile faith and science, many churches in Butler County are promoting "Answers in Genesis," a creation conference set for Nov. 19 and 20 at the David Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh.
