GRADUATES
Douglas Kennedy graduated with an applied science degree in mortuary science from the Arapahoe College of Mortuary Science.
Kennedy will celebrate his graduation with an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Nov. 7 at Harrisville United Methodist Church. A service will precede the open house at 1:30 p.m.
While at the college, he was honored for his efficiency in the clinical setting, as well as his overall professionalism in the funeral industry.
The son of Lucinda "Cindy" Kennedy of Harrisville, he is a 1987 graduate of Slippery Rock High School. He also attended Butler County Community College.

Lea Ann Kernan
recently graduated as valedictorian from the Lenape School of Nursing.
She also attended Butler County Community College and the ICM School of Business.
Kernan has accepted a position with Concordia at the Rebecca Residence in Allison Park. She also plans to continue her education.
She resides in Valencia, and is the mother of Dan Kernan and Jim Kernan.
