The engagement of Beyhan Atasoy and Ty Harvey, both of Raleigh, N.C. has been announced.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dr. Erdogan Atasoy of Louisville, Ky., and the late Gurkan Atasoy. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Clark and Carole Harvey of Saxonburg.

The bride-elect graduated in 1991 from Louisville Collegiate High School, and in 1995 and 1999 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning degrees in political science and nursing. She works at Soma MedSpa in Cary, N.C.

Her fiancé graduated in 1992 from Knoch High School and in 1996 from North Carolina State University with a degree in biochemistry. He is the program director of the New Dynamic for Bio Merieux in Durham, N.C.
