Jim and Carolyn Allen celebrated 50 years of marriage recently.

The former Carolyn Duckworth married Allen on Oct. 9, 1954, in Butler.

They have three children, Mary Davis of Hooker, Dennis Allen of Butler and Robert Allen of Slippery Rock. They also have two grandchildren.

Allen is retired from Armco, where he worked as a bricklayer. He was also self-employed at Allen's Acres Farm.

Mrs. Allen is a homemaker.
