2 p.m. Saturday - Eric Delaney, 27, of Wampum, Lawrence County, was arrested for assaulting his older brother at Main and Jefferson streets during the city's Ethnic Festival.The defendant is accused of punching 29-year-old Derek Delaney of Butler in the face. The older Delaney, wearing glasses, suffered a gash near the right eye when the punch broke the glasses.Derek Delaney was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital where he received more than 25 stitches to close the wound around the right eyelid.Eric Delaney was arraigned on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, and is free on recognizance bond.Saturday - Someone threw a rock and broke a large window at St. Anthony's Antiochian Orthodox Church on South Sixth Avenue. The vandalism occurred over the past several days.

4:27 p.m. Sept. 21 - Vehicles driven by Kellie Williams, 39, of Fombell, Beaver County, and Kimberly Ghering, 17, of Zelienople collided on Route 19. A passenger in Ghering's vehicle, Melissa Panei, 17, of Harmony was treated for minor injuries at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Williams was cited for an undisclosed traffic violation.2:55 p.m. Sept. 20 - Mychael Jeffrey Smith, 17, of Jackson Township was driving a car on Seneca School Road near Hartmann Road when the vehicle in front of him stopped. Smith was unable to stop and caused a four-vehicle, chain-reaction accident at the intersection. Smith was cited for careless driving. There was no information about the other vehicles.

10:10 p.m. Friday - A 27-year-old Butler man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash at Route 68 and Brownsdale Road in Forward Township.Jarrett Keefer was flown by medical helicopter with a severe head injury to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. His condition was not known this morning.Police said Keefer was driving a car that was stopped at the intersection. A pickup truck driven by Bobbi Lee Parker, 33, of Butler entered the intersection and collided nearly head-on with Keefer's car.Parker was not injured. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.6:50 p.m. Friday - Michael Reese, no age given, of West Sunbury was seriously injured when the all-terrain vehicle he was riding collided with a vehicle on Halston Road in Clay Township.The crash occurred when the ATV driven by Alisha Johnson, no age given, of Hilliards pulled onto the road from a yard and collided with the vehicle driven by Robert Riddle Jr., no age given, of West Sunbury.Reese, a passenger on the ATV, suffered major injuries and was flown by medical helicopter to an unknown Pittsburgh hospital. Johnson suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to an unidentified hospital. Riddle was not injured,4 p.m. Friday - A car driven by Russell Forsythe, 46, of Butler struck an embankment and rolled onto its side on North Duffy Road in Center Township. Forsythe, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered a minor head injury.3:10 p.m. Friday - Vehicles driven by Jesse Slingluff, 20, of Evans City and Charles Jones, 35, of Beaver Falls, Beaver County, collided on Mars-Evans City Road in Callery. Slingluff was cited for careless driving.10 a.m. Friday - Someone broke the Buffalo & Pittsburgh Railroad crossing arm along East Butler Road in East Butler, causing about $200 damage.Friday - James Gamble reported someone between Sept. 28 and Friday broke into his North Jackson Avenue home in Parker, Armstrong County, causing about $380 in damage. It was not known if any property was taken.Friday - Two business signs and five gold clubs were taken between 10 a.m. Thursday and noon Friday from the Oakview County Club on Keister Road in Slippery Rock Township.6:45 a.m. Thursday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Tyler Robinson, 18, of Butler struck a tree along Victory Road near Route 228 in Clinton Township. Robinson, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered moderate injuries.2:14 p.m. Thursday - Vehicles driven by Joan Santella, no age given, of Brackenridge and Joseph Schroeder, no age given, of Butler collided on Great Belt Road in Jefferson Township.6:10 a.m. Thursday - A car driven by Donna Pisor, 39, of Freedom, Beaver County, struck a deer in Route 39 in Concord Township.7:37 p.m. Wednesday - A vehicle driven by Dianna Emminger, 19, of Butler struck a deer on Route 8 in Penn Township.Oct. 1 - Several fawns were taken from a pen at the Shilo Ranch owned by Roy Allen in Clearfield Township. The fawns are valued at $1,000 each.2 p.m. Sept. 30 - Five boxes of candy bars were taken from a classroom at the Slippery Road Junior/Senior High School in Slippery Rock Township. A student, whom police did not identify, is suspected in the theft.

Sunday - About 20 bottles of liquor and two cases of beer were taken in a burglary between 11:30 p.m. Saturday and 11:30 a.m. Sunday at the Inn Bar on North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County. The burglar or burglars also broke into the juke box and took all the compact discs from the machine.2:30 a.m. Sept. 5 - Joseph Richey, no age given, of Worthington was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 422 in West Franklin Township, Armstrong County.

Sunday - Gary Hakala reported a 1990 Ford Ranger pickup truck valued at $1,500 was taken between Friday and Sunday from his Route 19 home in Springfield Township, Mercer County.10:50 p.m. Sept. 25 - Thomas Gregg II, no age given, of Grove City lost control of his vehicle on Airport Road in Liberty Township, Mercer County, when he failed to take a curve at a high rate of speed and went over a guiderail.
