Shenango conquers Summit
Tyrell Knight rushed for two fourth-quarter touchdowns, but they were too little, too late for the Summit Academy football team in a 31-20 loss to Shenango Saturday afternoon.
Knight scored on runs of 25 and 42 in the final period as the Knights (0-6, 0-5) launched a comeback after falling behind 31-8 after three quarters.
Knight finished with 89 yards on 12 carries.
The big numbers belonged to Colleal Cottom, who rushed for 204 yards on 16 carries for Summit Academy. He had an 80-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to put the Knights on the board.
Summit gained 321 yards on the ground and 402 total in the loss.
