Christy, O'Polka

Kimberly Christy and Richard O'Polka, both of Volant, were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Aug. 14 at St. Patrick Church in Franklin. Msgr. Herbein officiated. A reception was held in the multi-purpose room at Slippery Rock University.

The bride is the daughter of Dennis and Sharlene Christy of Slippery Rock. Parents of the bridegroom are Richard and Tammy O'Polka of Franklin.

The honor attendant was Jennifer Osborne of Zelienople. Bridesmaids included Amy Dudas of Aurora, Ohio, Lyndsey O'Polka of Franklin and Pam Rider of Boyers. The flower girl was Kristina Hartle of Franklin.

Performing the duties of best man was Jason Adams of Sharon. Groomsmen were Robert O'Polka of Franklin, and Jeremy Brinkley and Jason Stanley, both of Kane. The ring bearers were Matthew Osborne and Tyler Osborne, both of Zelienople.

The bride graduated in 1991 from Slippery Rock High School and attended Butler Beauty School. She works for Hair Specialists in Butler.

The bridegroom graduated in 1991 from Franklin High School and attended the Pennsylvania College of Technology. He is the owner/operator of a trucking company in Volant.

Following an Alaskan honeymoon, the couple is living in Volant.
