Herman leads Knoch to win over Freeport
Scott Herman scored two goals as Knoch defeated Freeport 5-3 in high school boys soccer Thursday.
James Morrow, D.J. Thomas and Eric Paul added goals for the Knights (7-1). Ben Greiner, Warren Carr, Brad Troyan and Morrow each contributed an assist in the win.
Tyler Hawk, Josh Shurina and Mike Zeidler scored for Freeport.
Slippery Rock 5, Hickory 3 -
Joe Bryan led the Rockets (9-1-1) to the win with two goals. Euna Jeon, Ryan Zarichnak and Drew Craig also scored for Slippery Rock.
Shaler 2, Butler 0 -
Evan Gould made nine saves for the Tornado, but the Titans prevailed.
Butler, which tallied 11 shots on goal, will play at North Hills Saturday.
Hampton 2, Seneca Valley 0 -
The Raiders fell to 6-5 overall and 4-4 in the section.
Seneca Valley will host Moon on Saturday.
