Mary Murphy of Butler and Gene Eiler of Renfrew were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Aug. 21 at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler. The Rev. Ray Trance officiated. A reception was held at the American Legion Post 117.

The bride is the daughter of Andy and Ruth Hancheck of Butler. The bride was presented for marriage by her son, Robert Murphy of East Butler.

The bride's daughter, Deborah Dolan of Schnecksville, was the honor attendant. The bride's granddaughters, Kelsi Dolan, Kyla Dolan and Faith Hansotte, all of Butler, were the bridesmaids.

Serving as ushers were the bride's grandsons, Jason Hansotte and Jonathan Hansotte, both of Butler and Sean Murphy of East Butler.

The bride graduated in 1960 from Butler High School. She is retired from St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

The bridegroom graduated in 1960 from Allegheny High School. He is retired from Verizon.

The couple is living in Renfrew, following a Western Caribbean honeymoon cruise.
