9 p.m. Tuesday - Howard Graham, 63, of 111 Westwood Manor, Butler Township, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Mercer Road in Center Township.6 p.m. Tuesday - Jeffrey Broskey, 29, of 217 Terrace Ave., Zelienople, was arrested for illegally trying to buy a gun in the borough. He was arraigned on a charge of unlawful sale or transfer of firearms, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $2,500. No other information about the case was immediately available.Tuesday - An Aiwa in-dash stereo/compact disc player and speakers valued at $200 were taken between July 1 and Tuesday from a vehicle at Jamison Auto at Route 38 and Eldorado Road in Washington Township. Warren Anchors of West Sunbury owns the vehicle.4:25 p.m. Monday - A car merging into traffic forced a tractor-trailer driven by Steven Scott, 31, of Butler to jackknife on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. The accident caused the right, northbound lane to be closed for a brief period until the tractor-trailer was towed away. Shirley McCoy, 59, of Butler, was driving the car.12:45 p.m. Monday - Cars driven by Diane Welling, 37, of Cabot and Clifford Farmer, 23, of Butler collided on Great Belt Road in Jefferson Township. Welling, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered a minor arm injury.
