Jennifer Batche and Kenneth Young, both of Akron, Ohio, exchanged wedding vows at 3:30 p.m. July 31 at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Butler. The Rev. Richard Leseganich officiated. A reception followed at Highfield Community Center.

The bride is the daughter of Cynthia Garwood of Barboursville, Va. Parents of the bridegroom are Leo and Donna Young of Chicora.

The bride was presented for marriage by the bridegroom's daughter Maizie Batche of Akron.

The maid of honor was Shannon Gardner of Magnolia, Ohio. The bridesmaid was Jill Goss of Butler.

Serving the bridegroom as best man was David Huffman of Cleveland. The groomsmen were Keith Young and Eric Young, both of Chicora.

The bride graduated in 1997 from Barberton High School. She works for Regal Cinemas in Akron, Ohio.

The bridegroom graduated in 1987 from Butler High School and in 1989 from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He works for the Cleveland Cinemas.

The couple is living in Akron following a honeymoon in Charleston, S.C.
