Gremlins grab a 43-13 win from Keystone
Josh Fiscus ran for 181 yards on 21 carries and scored three touchdowns as Karns City overcame a slow start to roll past Keystone 43-13 for a Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference victory Saturday.
Quarterback Steve Black completed 9-of-15 passes for 184 yards. He threw for one score and ran for another.
Karns City (2-1, 1-1), which totaled 348 yards on the ground, scored all of its points in the second and third quarters.
"In the first quarter, we had two nice drives and didn't score," said Karns City coach Ed Conto. "We missed a field goal and turned the ball over on downs.
"(Keystone) was playing very aggressively. Then, we scored in the second quarter and you could see their kids quit right before halftime, just like we did against Clarion-Limestone (in a 42-7 loss) the week before," Conto added,
Mike Switzer ran for one score and passed for another for the Panthers (1-2, 1-2).
"Our kids played hard the whole game," said Conto. "You can see us growing. I figured three, four, five games into the year, we'd develop, and I can see that."
