Mason, Mardis
Julie Mason and Daniel Mardis, both of Carrboro, N.C., were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. July 2 at St. Margaret of Scotland Church in Greentree. The Rev. Dan O'Neill and the Rev. Shawn Malarkey officiated. A reception followed in the Wyndham Hotel at the Pittsburgh Airport.
The bride is the daughter of Dennis and Jane Mason of Cranberry Township. Parents of the bridegroom are Bud and Judy Mardis of Johnstown.
The honor attendants were Susan Eliya of Mahwah, N.J., and Emily Burch of New York City. Bridesmaids included Tracy Blohm of Pittsburgh and Allie Hogue of Cresson. Kayli Bowden of Windber was the flower girl.
Performing the duties of best man was Greg Kutchma of Boston. Ushers included Jay Mason of Cranberry Township, Greg Conrad of Freedom and Jim Maher of Virginia Beach, Va.
The bride is a 1997 graduate of Seneca Valley High School and a 2001 graduate West Virginia University, where she received a bachelor of science degree in Health and Physical Education. She works at Northwood High School in Pittsboro, N.C.
The bridegroom graduated from Bishop McCort High School in 1996 and from West Virginia University in 2001, earning a bachelor of science degree in sports management. He works at RBC Bank in Carrboro.
Following a honeymoon trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., the couple is residing in Durham, N.C.
