John and Alfreda Kosar of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage recently with a family dinner.

The former Alfreda Marini married Kosar on Sept. 9, 1944, at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

They have two children, John Kosar Jr. of Rochester Hills, Mich., and Linda Lisy of Valley View, Ohio. They also have five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

Kosar retired from Pullman Standard in 1972. He is a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and the Michael Kosar American Legion Post 778. He is an avid bowler and former member of the City League and the Imperial League.

Mrs. Kosar is retired.

The couple attends St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, where Mrs. Kosar is a member of St. Michael's Guild.

Both are lifetime members of Tanglewood Senior Center.
