Amanda Sharbaugh scored off an assist by P.J. Abels to give the Knoch girls soccer team a 1-0 overtime victory over Blackhawk Monday.

Sam Brown earned the shutout in goal for the Knights (4-2), who play Wednesday at Ambridge.

The Foxes broke a scoreless halftime tie to defeat the Golden Tornado (0-1, 0-4).

Nikki Frisbee and Stephanie Romanias both scored two goals while Marci Dillner and Brittany Zaborowski scored one each for the Planets (1-1, 2-3). Rachel Williams picked up the shutout in net.

General McClain 8, Slippery Rock 0 -

The McClain forwards were too big and two fast for the Rockets Monday.

Butler 3, Hampton 0 -Kala Schnur totaled 21 assists and Ashleigh Huey contributed 16 digs and seven kills to lead Butler to the sweep by scores of 25-19, 25-17 and 25-19.Amy Achesinski added five blocks and four kills, and Kelly Crater had 14 digs.

Butler 18, Hampton 38 (boys); Hampton 18, Butler 37 (girls) -The Tornado's Ben Porter won the boys race in a time of 10 minutes, 36 seconds while the Talbots' Elaina Belouris won the girls race in 12:16. Chloe Huey was the top Butler runner with a fifth-place finish in 12:36.
