Marine Pfc.George Stutz, son of Rosemary Stutz of Butler, has completed basic training at Parris Island, S.C. He had enlisted in the Marine Corps delayed entry program to guarantee his job in the infantry.

While in basic, he qualified as marksman with the M16A2 rifle and earned a first class on the physical fitness test.
