WORTH TWP, Mercer County - The following cases were heard Sept. 1 by District Justice Lawrence Silvis.

David J. Pollio, 19, of 556 Beatty St., Grove City was waived to court on two counts of use and possession of drug paraphernalia after police conducted a search of a Center Street residence Feb. 6 while looking for another suspect. Grove City Police filed the complaint. Pollio was released on a $1,000 bond with the stipulation he refrain from using alcohol or from frequenting places alcohol is served.

Armand A. Zangrilli, 61, of Conneaut Lake was held for court on two counts driving under the influence and disregarding a traffic lane after a traffic stop March 19 on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. State police filed the complaint. Zangrilli was released on a $3,000 bond with the stipulation he refrain from using alcohol or from being present where alcohol is served.

Christopher J. Madison, 41, of Fayetteville, N.C., pleaded guilty to use and possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended or revoked license and false reports after a traffic stop Aug. 25 on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township. State police filed the complaint. Madison was sentenced to eight days to six months in jail with credit given for time served.

Randall S. Phillips, 41, of Volant was held for court on charges of simple assault and two counts harassment after police responded to reports of a domestic incident July 4 on Butler Pike in Liberty Township. State police filed the complaint. Phillips was released on a $10,000 bond with the stipulation he have no contact with the victim and have an attorney present at the preliminary hearing.

Charles W. Burgess, 30, of Shippenville was held for court on charges of conspiring to commit retail theft after an incident Jan. 18 at the Wal-Mart store in Pine Township. Burgess was one of four persons accused in the theft of a Hewlett Packard computer valued at $698, an HP monitor valued at $300 and a Sony PlayStation dual shock system valued at $99. State police filed the complaint. He is in Mercer County Jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond.

William J. Bowser, 33, of Coal Township was held for court on charges of receiving stolen property, retail theft and conspiring to commit retail theft after an incident Jan. 18 at the Wal-Mart store in Pine Township. Bowser was one of four persons accused in the theft of a Hewlett Packard computer valued at $698, an HP monitor valued at $300 and a Sony PlayStation dual shock system valued at $99. State police filed the complaint. Bowser is in Mercer County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 bond.

Lauren E. Brutscher, 19, of West Mifflin pleaded guilty to summary charges of disorderly conduct after an incident during a traffic stop Jan. 24 on Interstate 79 in Liberty Township. State police filed the complaint. Brutscher was ordered to pay $430.50.

Alison L. Rinne, 20, of Zelienople pleaded guilty to summary charges of disorderly conduct after an incident during a traffic stop Jan. 24 on Interstate 79 in Liberty Township. State police filed the complaint. Rinne was ordered to pay $430.50.

Scott R. Werley, 34, of Conneaut Lake pleaded guilty to summary charges of writing $460 in bad checks when buying a car April 30 from Maxwell Auto Service in Grove City. The Grove City Police Department filed the complaint. Werley was ordered to pay $485 in restitution and $430 in fines and costs.

Abdoulie Leigh, 25, of Pawtucket, R.I., was held for court on charges of identity theft, false report, unsworn falsification and two counts driving without a license after a traffic stop Aug. 20 on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township. State police filed the complaint after Leigh presented them with another person's driver's license during the stop. He is in Mercer County Jail in lieu of a $20,000 bond.

Dennis F. Dawes, 63, of Transfer pleaded guilty to summary charges of carrying a loaded weapon after officers responded to reports of a domestic altercation May 28 involving Dawes. State police filed the complaint. Dawes was caught in the parking lot of the ADESA automobile auction company on Route 62 in Jackson Township. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit given for time served. He was ordered to pay $16 in fines and costs.

Jeffrey L. Reagle, 31, of Bloomington, Ind., was held for court on two counts driving under the influence, driving without a license, driving at an unsafe speed, careless driving and not wearing proper headgear after police were called to investigate a motorcycle crash May 8 on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. State police filed the complaint. Reagle was released on a $3,000 bond with the stipulation he refrain from using alcohol and from being present where alcohol is served.

CRANBERRY TWP - District Justice Kelley Streib recently heard these cases:John Edward Gallagher, 45, of Conneaut Lake, Pa., waived his case to court. He was charged June 9 by Cranberry Township police with identity theft, theft of leased property and theft by deception.

SLIPPERY ROCK - These cases were heard Aug. 31 by District Justice Clifford Woessner.Danny Johnson, 48, of Morgantown, W.Va., was waived to court on charges of writing bad checks and theft by deception after Samuel J. Vastana of McClymonds Supply and Transit on Currie Road in Muddy Creek Township reported Johnson had written a $5,000 bad check April 19 to the company. Vastana filed the complaint. Johnson was released on his own recognizance. His arraignment is set for Oct. 12 at the Butler County Courthouse.
