Ruth Compton and Shane McMillin, both of Butler exchanged wedding vows at 4 p.m. April 3 at Christ's Outreach Church in Butler. The Rev. Dave West officiated. A reception followed at Vagabond Hall in Lyndora.

The bride is the daughter of Daniel Jr. and Darlene Compton of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are David and Linda McMillin of Butler.

The maid of honor was the bride's daughter, Chelsi Miller of Butler. The matron of honor was Stacey Bowman, also of Butler. Bridesmaids were Kim Fitzpatrick, Becky Compton and Tracy McMillin, all of Butler.

Performing the duties of best man was Mark Bianucci of Butler. Groomsmen were Tim Grosick, Roy Devore, Cory Leinenbach and Ed Skillman, all of Butler.

The bride graduated in 1988 from Butler High School. She is a registered nurse at Butler Memorial Hospital.

The bridegroom graduated in 1991 from BHS. He is self-employed at Kosmic Signs in Butler.

The couple honeymooned in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
