Florence (Boyer) Winchell of Connoquenessing was surprised by a party for her 95th birthday at Mount Nebo Church.

The former Florence Boyer was born Aug. 27, 1909, in Lancaster Township. She married Theron Winchell on Dec. 24, 1933. He is deceased.

She is the mother of Edward Winchell of Cottonwood, Ariz.; and Alvin Winchell of Evans City. She also has five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A retired homemaker, Mrs. Winchell is a member of Mount Nebo Presbyterian Church. She enjoys crocheting and working jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles.
