Gerald and Ellen Pry of West Sunbury celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a Mass at St. Louis Roman Catholic Church in West Sunbury. A family reception followed at Armco Park.

The former Ellen Frey married Pry on Aug. 28, 1954, at St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church in Mount Lebanon.

They have 11 children, Gerald "Russ" Pry of Harvest, Ala.; Carl Pry of East Springfield; Daniel Pry of Slippery Rock; Raymond Pry of Enon, Ohio; James Pry of Monongahela; Michael Pry and Teresa Stoner, both of Butler, David Pry and George Pry, both of of West Sunbury; Irene Gankosky of Brockway; and John Pry of Astoria, N.Y.

They also have 32 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pry is a retired engineer and businessman.

Mrs. Pry is retired from Allegheny Valley School in Slippery Rock, where she worked as a house manager.

The couple is involved in the Association for Retarded Citizens' family living program.
