Lloyd "Pete" Kline of Butler will celebrate his 90th birthday Wednesday with a family dinner.

He was born Sept. 1, 1914, in North Butler, He married Gladys Reges on Jan. 15, 1937. She is deceased.

He has three children, Robert Kline and Larry Kline, both of Butler, and Shirley McCandless of Renfrew. He also has nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Kline is retired from Stimple and Wards in Pittsburgh, where he worked for three years. He also worked for 45 years as a coal miner at the Butler Coal, Wildwood, Eagle, Saul and Grippo mines.

He is a member of the Oneida Valley Free Methodist Church in Butler and is a charter member of the Oneida Valley Fire Company, Coonhunters Association and Beagle Club.
