John and Shelvia Rhodaberger of Cabot celebrated 40 years of marriage recently with a surprise celebration at the Elks Lodge in Butler.

The former Shelvia Edwards married Rhodaberger on Aug. 1, 1964, at St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville.

They have two children, John Rhodaberger of Cabot and Denise Drosjack of East Butler.

Rhodaberger is retired from AK Steel. He enjoys farming and is a member of St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville.

Mrs. Rhodaberger is a housewife. She is a member of Zion United Methodist Church and the Herman Fire Hall ladies auxiliary. She enjoys bingo and playing cards.

The couple also enjoys traveling.
