New math program for the elementary schools; interactive whiteboards installed in many rooms in both elementary and senior high schools; before and after school daycare at Freeport Kindergarten Center; an after school family tutoring program focusing on reading and math; technology increases at the senior high school to help develop better writing skills; online learning modules; multimedia course at senior high school; Pennsylvania Value Added Assessment System for math and reading at all levels; and access to secondary students' grades by parents through a secure Web site.

Building projects:

Freeport Kindergarten Center has added air conditioning over the summer and South Buffalo Elementary will have a new access bridge to the main entrance in preparation for renovations and construction work scheduled to begin in the spring.
