Sunday - Alexis Pistella, no age given, of 12 Thomas Ave. was arrested for allegedly using a former boyfriend's debit card to withdraw $480 from his bank accounts. Pistella is charged with access device fraud.Sunday - Pam Monper of Bessemer Avenue reported someone overnight smashed the windshield of her car while the vehicle was parked on South Street.
3:37 a.m. Sunday - Devin Blum, 19, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after leading police on a four-mile chase on Route 8 and Sunset Drive in Center Township. Police said Blum faces other pending traffic-related charges.2:15 a.m. Sunday - William Thomas, 22, of Pittsburgh was arrested for allegedly taking a metal drum, axe and flashlight between 2:15 and 2:30 a.m. from a tent at Coopers Lake Campground in Worth Township. Thomas is charged with theft for taking the property owned by. Laura Little of Youngstown, Ohio.12:10 a.m. Sunday - A pickup driven by Csaba Vass-Gal, 31, of New Castle and a car driven by Stephen Miller, 20, of Portersville collided at Route 422 and Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. Miller, who was wearing a seatbelt, was taken with a minor leg injury to Butler Memorial Hospital.7:54 p.m. Saturday - Martin Rummell, 38, of Slippery Rock was arrested for allegedly assaulting his ex-wife's boyfriend at the Slippery Rock High School football field in Slippery Rock Township.Police said Rummell punched Eugene Lynn, 48, of Slippery Rock in the face several times after the victim showed up with the defendant's former wife at a football game. Rummell is charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.2:20 p.m. Saturday - A car driven by Patricia Mrozinski, 67, and a pickup truck driven by Jesse Bullman, 43, both of Cabot collided at Winfield and Bear Creek roads in Winfield Township. Mrozinski was taken with minor injuries to Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, Allegheny County.2 a.m. Saturday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Brian Mershimer, 26, of Butler struck a stop sign and embankment along Route 8 and Kelly Road in Clay Township. Mershimer was cited for several undisclosed traffic violations.Saturday - A number of household items, tools and clothing were taken in a burglary between Aug. 8 and Saturday at the Robinson Lane home of George and Karen Spiehler in Worth Township.Saturday - Eighty dollars was taken from a purse inside a vehicle at a Centerville Pike Road home in Slippery Rock Township. Stephanie Sereda of Slippery Rock owns the money taken in the theft between 10 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday.6:30 p.m. Friday - Four people were injured when a car driven by Jonathan Lawson, 18, of Butler and a pickup truck driven by Kenneth Anderson, 26, of Karns City collided at Route 422 and Bonniebrook Road in Summit Township.Treated for minor injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital were Lawson and two passengers in his car, a 15-year-old Butler boy and a 15-year-old New Kensington, Westmoreland County boy, whom police did not identify, and a passenger in the pickup, Kenneth Anderson Jr., 21, of Karns City.Lawson, following the crash, was cited for failing to yield the right of way.7:45 a.m. Friday - A car driven by Rachel Snyder, 17, no address given, struck an embankment along Freeport Road in Clinton Township. Snyder and a passenger, Twila Snyder, 52, no address given, suffered minor injuries. Both occupants were wearing seatbelts.Thursday - David Gifford of Karns City reported that someone Wednesday or Thursday stole his silver, 1995 Subaru Legacy from the Indspec parking lot in Petrolia. The vehicle is valued at $4,000.
Sunday - Douglas Filer reported that someone stole his 1997 Ford 150 pickup truck parked at his Liberty Street Extension home in Pine Township, Mercer County. The theft occurred between 9 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday.1:05 a.m. Saturday - Philip James Hoffman, 18, of Grove City was arrested for driving under the influence on Cranberry Road in Pine Township, Mercer County.4:41 p.m. July 30 - A pickup truck driven by Richard Rice, 18, of Jamestown, Mercer County, struck the rear of a pickup driven by Frederick Reash, 38, of Grove City on Route 58 near Irishtown Road in Pine Township, Mercer County.
