4:45 a.m. today - Robert Burr, 20, of Evans City swerved his sport utility vehicle to avoid a deer on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township, causing the vehicle to veer into the median and roll over several times.4:30 p.m. Thursday - A Grove City couple, David and Jessica Richards, were uninjured after someone threw a rock from a hillside that struck the windshield of their pickup truck traveling north on Route 8 next to the Peter Rabbit Campground in Brady Township.Monday - A video camera valued at $700 and two shot glasses were taken in a burglary at the West Mercer Street home of Genal Humphrey in Mercer Township. The break-in occurred between 4 p.m. Aug. 5 and 9 a.m. Monday.

3:30 a.m. Wednesday - A 13-year-old detainee at George Junior Republic was arrested after she escaped the Pine Township, Mercer County, juvenile detention facility, burglarized a cottage apartment at the facility and allegedly stole a vehicle.The girl, whom police did not identify, was arrested in Plain Grove Township, Lawrence County.She is accused of running away from the facility and breaking into the apartment of Patrick and Sheila McClearn, cottage parents at George Junior. She took $169 from the apartment as well as keys to the couple's mini-van, before driving off in the vehicle.Police charged the girl in juvenile court with burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.
