William and Agnes Sarver of Prospect celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner.

Sarver and the former Agnes Kirk were married Aug. 7, 1954, in City Hall in Butler.

They are the parents of Billie Sarver-Monk of Geneva, Ohio; and William "Bud" Sarver Jr. of Prospect. They also have five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Sarver is retired from Marmon-Keystone. He is a charter member of the Prospect American Legion and a former mayor and former policeman of Prospect

He has also worked in security for more than 40 years at the Big Butler Fair.

Mrs. Sarver is retired from the Prospect Post Office, where she worked as a custodian. She is Roman Catholic by faith and enjoys crafts.
