Charles and Amelia Miller of Lyndora were surprised by a reception at Highfield Hall in honor of their 50th wedding anniversary. The party was hosted by their children.

Miller and the former Amelia DeAngelo were married July 31, 1954, at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

They are the parents of Charles Miller Jr., Darryl Miller, Angela Miller and Paul Miller, all of Butler; and Jim Miller of Omaha, Neb. They also have five grandchildren.

Miller is retired from Armco Butler Works. He is a member of the Highfield Men's Club

Mrs. Miller is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
