District Justice Wayne Seibel of Evans City recently heard these court cases:
Salvatore Sunseri, 20, of Mars waived his case to court. He was charged March 11 by Adams Township police with possession of a controlled substance.
Joshua E. Miller, 23, of Butler waived his case to court. He was charged July 14 by Adams Township police with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of a controlled substance impaired ability to drive, driving with a suspended license and failure to keep right.
Thomas Richard Bergbigler Jr., 31, of Butler waived his case to court. He was charged July 19 by the state police with burglary, criminal trespass and criminal mischief.
District Justice Kelley Streib of Cranberry Township recently heard these court cases:Tia Aneesha Bridges, 25, of Cranberry Township waived her case to court. She was charged July 14 by Cranberry Township police with four counts of access device fraud.Jason Harold Morgan, 32, of Valencia waived his case to court. He was charged June 9 by Cranberry Township police with driving under the influence of alcohol general impairment, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol of 0.16 percent blood-alcohol level or greater and reckless driving.Jason L. Wagner, 33, of Harmony waived his case to court. He was charged June 1 by Cranberry Township police with public drunkenness, open lewdness, driving under the influence of alcohol general impairment and driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol of 0.16 percent blood-alcohol level or greater.David Rinere, 37, of Cranberry Township waived his case to court. He was charged June 1 by Cranberry Township police with writing a bad check.Joshua Johnston, 22, of Bellevue, Allegheny County, waived his case to court. He was charged April 5 by Cranberry Township police with writing a bad check.William J. Betsch, 36, of Beaver, Beaver County, waived his case to court. He was charged March 25, 2003, by Cranberry Township police with accidents involving death or personal injury, accidents involving death or personal injury while not properly licensed, unauthorized use or automobile, two counts of accident involving damage to attended vehicle or property, obstructing highways or other public passage, driving with a suspended license, driving without a license, driving without proper insurance, failure to notify police immediately following an accident, reckless driving, speeding, making false reports, driving on the right side of the roadway, limitations on driving on the left side of the roadway, meeting vehicle proceeding in opposite direction, unattended motor vehicle, abandonment and stripping of vehicles and two counts failure to stop, give information and render aid.
The following cases were heard July 28 by District Justice Lawrence Silvis in Worth Township, Mercer County:Michael T. Bancroft, 19, of Grove City pleaded guilty to use/possession of drug paraphernalia after officers detected the paraphernalia when Bancroft tried to purchase alcoholic beverages March 19 in Grove City.Bancroft received a 6- to 12-month sentence suspended to 1 year's state probation. He was ordered to pay $249 in court costs and fees.Farrah D. Stroup, 48, of Grove City was held for court on two counts driving under the influence after a traffic stop June 13 on Route 62 in Bradley Township. Stroup was released on her own recognizance.Nicholas A. McClearn, 25, of Sandy Lake was held for court on charges of driving under the influence, improper stop, failure to keep right and careless driving after a traffic stop June 5 on Reeds Furnace Road in Sandy Lake Township. McClearn was released on his own recognizance.Adam J. Berti, 22, of Mercer was held for court on two counts of driving under the influence, disregarding a traffic lane and careless driving after a traffic stop July 1. Berti was released on his own recognizance.Anthony C. Heasley, 21, of Polk was held for court on charges of driving under the influence, disregarding a traffic lane and careless driving after officers responded to a one-car accident in which Heasley's car had overturned. The incident happened June 17 on Georgetown Road. Heasley was released on his own recognizance.Tammy L. Westlake, 40, of Jackson Center was held for court on two counts of driving under the influence, failure to keep right, disregarding a traffic lane and careless driving after a traffic stop May 30 on Route 173 in Sandy Lake Township. Westlake was released on her own recognizance.Ernest P. Phillips, 63, of Berrien Springs, Mich., was held for court on two counts of aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and criminal mischief/tampering with property after he allegedly rammed into another vehicle several times on June 29 on I-80 in Wolf Creek Township. Phillips is in Mercer County Jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond.Gregory D. Melton, 30, of Grove City was held for court on charges of theft by deception/false impression after allegedly keeping $1,250 belonging to a Grove City resident. BeverlyLenkner of Grove Citygave Melton money to construct a cement patio, but the patio was not built. Melton was released on $2,000 bond. He is to have no contact with the victim and pay $1,050 to the court.
