4:14 a.m. Thursday - Barry Miller, 49, of 214 Elm St., Apt. 3, was arrested after allegedly assaulting Kimberly Fulmer, 42, during a domestic dispute at the couple's home. Miller was arraigned on a simple assault charge and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $2,000 bond.
4:15 p.m. Thursday - A Bruin woman, whom police did not identify, was injured when the car she was driving traveled off East Eldorado Road in Parker Township, struck an embankment and flipped onto its roof.Police said the woman's right hand was pinned between the car's roof and the road. She was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with major injuries to her right forearm and wrist.2:49 p.m. Thursday - A car driven by Matthias Johnson, 28, of Butler struck a railroad tie wall on Route 8 at McBride Station in Penn Township. Johnson, who was wearing a seatbelt, was taken with minor injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital. He was cited for careless driving.Thursday - Nine blank checks owned by the Lick Hill Volunteer Fire Department were taken from the Beulah Road home of the department's treasurer in Oakland Township, and later forged and cashed for $4,720. The theft and forgery occurred between July 2 and Thursday.
